Hey.

Thanks for finding your way here. I’m so glad you did. It’s a pleasure to share a bit about me and I hope I get to hear a bit about you too sometime.

Since taking a photography class my freshman year of high school, I’ve been obsessed with taking photos… of everything. Flowers, cars, structures, landscapes, friends. EVERYTHING. I bought a Sony point and shoot with the first job I had and it went everywhere with me. Between junior and senior year of college my obsession faded into the background with working 40+ hours a week and taking 16 units at UCSD.

It wasn’t until about 11 years ago when I met the man that is now my husband, that I started to get that deep down excitement for taking photos again. We often met at the beach which of course led to me becoming obsessed with taking photos of sunsets. If you’ve seen a San Diego sunset, you understand. He bought me my first DSLR camera 8 years ago and it’s been an amazing journey ever since.

I fought the urge to take photos of people (except my family) as opposed to landscapes for years thinking it just wasn’t for me. However, a friend in need of last minute maternity photos changed that for me. The creative charge and sense of accomplishment as well as the love and appreciation I received in return was amazing and beyond fulfilling. It was then that I decided that this whole taking pictures of people thing really was for me after all.
